How I work
You talk with me directly, from your first question through enrollment and every year after.
- We start with you. Your doctors, your prescriptions, your budget, and what matters most to you.
- I compare plans side by side. I show you plans available in your county from the companies I represent, and explain the differences in plain English.
- You decide. If a plan fits, I help you apply. If nothing fits, that's fine too.
- I stay with you. After you enroll, I help with questions and review your coverage with you each year before Annual Enrollment.
Ways to meet
We can meet by phone, by video, or in person, whichever is easiest for you. Family members are welcome to join with your permission.
Before we discuss specific Medicare Advantage or Part D plans, we'll complete a short Scope of Appointment (in writing, or recorded on a call). It can be done the same day. Calls and video meetings about Medicare Advantage and Part D plans are recorded, as Medicare requires.
- Office location: [office address or county, if Skip meets clients at an office]
- Areas I travel to for in-person meetings: [counties or cities]
- Hours: [days and hours]
- Languages: [languages spoken]
Companies I represent
I'm an independent insurance broker, so I can compare plans from more than one company. I currently represent:
- Humana
- HealthSpring
- Aetna
- United
Healthcare - Wellcare
- Devoted Health
Company names are trademarks of their owners and are shown only to identify the companies I'm appointed with. Not every company offers every type of plan or serves every county. I don't offer every plan available in your area.
How I'm paid
There's no cost for my help. If you enroll in a plan through me, the insurance company pays me a commission. That's how most Medicare brokers are paid.
Your premium is the same either way. A plan costs you the same whether you enroll through me, directly with the insurance company, or through Medicare.gov.
What I won't do
- I won't pressure you. You're never obligated to enroll, and you can end our conversation at any time.
- I won't ask for your Medicare number before you decide to enroll in a plan.
- Your information is never sold, and it isn't shared with other agents or marketing companies for their own marketing.
- I won't call myself Medicare or suggest that I work for the government. I'm a licensed, independent insurance agent.
